Trevathan, Massie expect to hasten Bears rebuilding project

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) Inside linebacker Danny Trevathan and offensive tackle Bobby Massie are convinced they can help the Chicago Bears climb from the basement of the NFC North.

Trevathan, who signed a four-year deal, calls the presence of his former Denver Broncos coach, John Fox, a key reason for signing with Chicago, which finished 6-10 last season.

Massie, who signed for three years, had friend and Bears right guard Kyle Long pushing for him to come to Chicago. With Massie on the Bears line protecting Jay Cutler, it's expected Long can return to right guard where he made the Pro Bowl in 2013 and 2014.
