Tourek Williams wants to thank the Chargers for keeping him around

Tourek Williams' season could've easily been over when he broke his foot in August.
But the Chargers never placed the reserve linebacker on injured reserve. And now, he wants to repay their trust in him.
"They waited for me,' Williams told U-T San Diego's Michael Gehlken. "I appreciate the opportunity because they easily could've been like, 'Uhh, we'll put you on IR and find someone else to do your job.'"
But the Botls never buckled. They saw Williams' preseason improvements as a sign he could be more than a role player on their defense.
The playmaking ability he flashed in exhibition is needed now more than ever. Williams, who returned to the practice field on Wednesday, can't wait to provide a spark.
"I can't wait to play, man," he said. "I could be anywhere right know. But I'm still here. I'll make it count."
