Tony Dungy: Jameis Winston has the 'it' factor

Published Nov. 16, 2015 10:31 p.m. ET

After a bit of a roller coaster to start the 2015 season for rookie quarterback Jameis Winston, he's turned things around nicely over the past 4-5 games, specifically before getting to the Week 10 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

While Winston wasn't bad against the Cowboys, he threw an interception (two of them) for the first time in his five previous games. Regardless, he's now managed seven total touchdowns with just two interceptions over that span, and the team has gone 3-2.

So, it's obvious that Winston is showing the signs of doing some major damage in this league, right? If you ask former NFL head coach and current analyst Tony Dungy, Winston absolutely has that "it" factor.

Getting that type of praise from Dungy is impressive, and he's spot on that once the turnovers are completely taken care of, Winston should be very, very successful in this league.
