Tom Brady: 'No excuses for me for not getting the job done'
To say Tom Brady was beat up throughout Sunday's loss would be a massive understatement. He was hit 20 times, the most for any quarterback in any game this season. He never looked comfortable in the pocket against the Denver Broncos' relentless pass rush led by Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware.
Brady and the New England Patriots knew the Broncos' top-ranked defense was great, but their front-seven was dominant in all four quarters of the game. Even still, Brady say there are no excuses for him not getting the job done against Denver on Sunday.

"There are no excuses for me for not getting the job done," Brady said. "Our guys fought hard. I'm proud of all the guys for what they tried to accomplish. We just came up one play short to a very good football team.
"When you play quarterback, you're going to take hits. You have to stand in there and make throws."
Stand in there and make throws, he did. It obviously wasn't the best game of Brady's career, but it's not often a player faces a pass rush with a struggling offensive line like Brady did on Sunday. He led the Patriots down the field on three separate occasions late in the game, two of which came up empty after failed fourth-down conversions.
Despite the physical struggle throughout the game, New England was one two-yard completion away from tying the game and taking the Broncos into overtime. Instead, Brady's two-point conversion fell incomplete and ended New England's comeback.
