LP Field is no more. The home of the Tennessee Titans has new name. According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, the Titans' home field will now be known as Nissan Stadium.

The team and Nissan North America have reached a 20-year agreement for the naming rights to the stadium. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. An official announcement is expected Thursday and the change in branding is expected to take effect immediately.

As Wyatt notes, Nissan is one of middle Tennessee's largest employers and its North American headquarters are located in Franklin, Tenn.

The stadium, which opened in 1999, was first called Adelphia Coliseum until the namesake company filed for bankruptcy. From 2002-2006,  the stadium was known as just 'the Coliseum,' until LP brought the naming rights. The Titans' 10-year agreement with LP, a building products company, was set to expire soon.
