Titans' Mularkey: I'm worried about wins, not full-time job

The Titans are 2-3 under interim head coach Mike Mularkey, a noticeable improvement from the team's 1-6 record to start the season under former coach Ken Whisenhunt.

But despite his team's improved play, Mularkey said Monday he hasn't discussed his status beyond this year with the team's ownership and is primarily focused on the final four weeks of the season.

“We will re-visit that at the end of the year,” Mularkey said, per the Tennessean, “but nothing of late.”

While Mularkey would like the job full-time, he said his approach isn't going to change.

"This is my coaching style — this is how I approach it no matter who I’m coaching,” Mularkey said. “I’m going to continue to do that and see what happens in the next month when it’s all said and done. But the message when I stand in front of these guys is not going to change.”

The Titans will look for their second win in a row Sunday on the road against the New York Jets.
