Thomas Davis: Greg Hardy is a player you flat-out want on your team

While Greg Hardy originally wanted a chance to return to the Carolina Panthers, he's not saying too much about the matchup on tap for Thanksgiving.

After a few up-and-down weeks for Hardy, he's simply focused on the game in front of him with the Panthers, which should likely be filled with plenty of emotions. Even through everything in Carolina, there are still plenty of players who respect Hardy's game and pushed for him to return to the Panthers.

One of those players according to Joseph Person of The Charlotte Observer, is linebacker Thomas Davis.

“Greg Hardy is a guy that you flat-out want on your football team,” Davis told The Charlotte Observer Tuesday. “He’s a guy that’s a game changer. He can go out and totally wreck a gameplan if you allow him to. So of course we went and spoke up for him, trying to get him back. But a few details came out with his whole situation and unfortunately we weren’t able to get him back.”

“We all knew of the situation. We knew what was said to have happened,” Davis said. “It’s one of those situations where really to this point it’s still Greg’s word against hers.”

“I don’t know what happened. I wasn’t there. So I can’t speak on that situation.”

Davis did his best to answer the question that was likely sent in his direction, without getting too in-depth on the whole situation.

Regardless, at this point, it's all in the past and Hardy is in Dallas, so you can bet that Davis' focus is simply on helping get his team to 11-0 on Thursday.
