Published Aug. 17, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

Houston first-round pick receiver DeAndre Hopkins has left the Texans' game against Miami because of a head injury.

It was unclear when he was injured, but he was taken to the locker room to be evaluated in the second quarter and the team said he wouldn't return. No further details on his injury were immediately available.

Hopkins, the 27th overall pick this year out of Clemson, had two receptions for 22 yards before leaving the game.
