Tempo of practices surprises Seahawks rookies
The Seattle Seahawks are not known for having long practices, but in the two hours the team is on the field a lot gets accomplished.
This surprised a few of the Seahawks rookies who were not used to this sort of pace in college. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett told ESPN it takes some getting used to.
“It’s a lot different, just because of the tempo,’’ said Lockett. “At Kansas State we had a long practice, but it wasn’t as fast as it is here at the Seahawks. It took me a day to get used to it, but by the second day I was able to fly around.”
Seahawks offensive line coach Tom Cable echoed Lockett's comments when he said it is a difficult transition, but once they get used to the faster pace, it becomes a lot easier to handle.
“It was a little hard on them,’’ Tom Cable said. “But they got going by [the third minicamp day]. They accepted it and were running out of the huddle.”
