Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams underwent knee surgery and could be out two to three weeks, according to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Williams missed the Week 7 matchup with the Patriots and has been bothered by the lingering injury ever since.
Williams, 33, got off to a strong start in the first two games of the season with 303 total yards and 4 touchdowns, but has barely played at all since Le'Veon Bell returned from suspension in Week 4.
The Steelers (4-4) host the Cowboys (7-1) on Sunday, and then hit the road for games against the Browns and the Colts.
