Jordan Spieth has pulled in plenty of money during his brief professional career, but it always helps to have a few additional revenue streams. He apparently has found that by taking some money off of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on the golf course.

Spieth is from Dallas and a fan of the local sports teams. He says he has played golf with Romo, who is also an outstanding golfer and nearly turned pro in that sport before deciding on a professional football career. From the sounds of things, Spieth comes out on top because Romo is too prideful to take too much in the form of a handicap.

“The good news is he doesn’t swallow his pride and take a lot of strokes,” Spieth said of his games with Romo during an interview on “Jim Rome on Showtime,” Eye on Football says. “He likes to play maybe like 2 or 3 a side, which means I’m usually on the winning end of that one.”

Rome followed up by asking how much money he’s taken off Romo.

“Ha ha. Oh man. I don’t know. I can’t even count that high,” Spieth said jokingly. “He’s a good friend and a great competitor so we have fun out there.”

When Spieth is done taking skins off of Romo, he can move on to other Dallas athletes. Also on the list are Deion Sanders, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Dirk Nowitzki.
