Spaziani plans to make change at QB for BC

Boston College coach Frank Spaziani says he will start a new quarterback next week against Notre Dame.

Mike Marscovetra or Chase Rettig will start for the Eagles in place of David Shinskie

The announcement came after Saturday's 19-0 home loss to Virginia Tech, which was the first shutout against Boston College in 149 games since 1998.

Shinskie, the 26-year-old sophomore and former minor league pitcher, was 11 for 25 for 130 yards and two interceptions before being replaced by Marscovetra.

The two were sacked six times, and Spaziani said not all of the sacks were the fault of the offensive line.
