Source: Jets to give OL first-round tender

The Jets plan on giving restricted free agent outside linebacker Aaron Maybin an original round tender, according to a source.

The tender is expected to be around $1.3 million.

The Jets can match any offer made by another team, and if Maybin signs elsewhere, the Jets would receive a first-round pick.

Maybin revived his career with the team last season following two unproductive years with the Bills, who drafted him in the first round in 2009.

The Jets signed him in training camp but cut him before the season started.
