Seattle's Marshawn Lynch hurts back, out

Published Oct. 23, 2011 2:18 p.m. ET

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch injured his back in pregame warmups and will not play Sunday against the Browns.

Lynch, who has rushed for 239 yards and two touchdowns this season, was on the sideline during Seattle's first offensive series. A team spokesman said Lynch hurt his back before the game but provided no other specifics.

Leon Washington started for Lynch, who rushed for 98 yards when the Seahawks upset the New York Giants 36-25 on Oct. 9.
