Seattle loses Mebane to hamstring pull
RENTON, Wash. (AP) Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Brandon Mebane suffered a ''really legit'' hamstring injury, according to coach Pete Carroll, with no timetable on when he could return.
Mebane's injury was the biggest blow from Seattle's 38-17 win over the New York Giants on Sunday. Mebane was injured during the first half of Seattle's third straight win. Carroll said veteran Kevin Williams would see his snap count increase, with Tony McDaniel and Jordan Hill also stepping in to help replace Mebane.
Tight end Luke Willson suffered a sprained ankle against the Giants and his status for this Sunday's game at Kansas City is unknown.
Carroll said the team hopes linebacker Malcolm Smith and safety Kam Chancellor will be back this week, but guard James Carpenter is likely out another week.
