Saturday chosen as replacement in Pro Bowl

Colts center Jeff Saturday has been chosen to this year's Pro Bowl as a replacement for Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey.

Pouncey sprained his left his ankle in Sunday's AFC championship game, but it's not the injury keeping him out of the NFL's annual all-star game. Pittsburgh reached its eighth Super Bowl with a 24-19 victory over the Jets on Sunday, and players on teams participating in the Super Bowl do not play in the Pro Bowl.

For Saturday, it will be his first trip Pro Bowl appearance since 2007. He was voted to the AFC team in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009, but didn't play last year when the Colts won the AFC title.

Saturday has started 172 games since joining the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 1999.
