Saints sign LB Haralson to 1-year deal
METAIRIE, La. (AP) New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the club has an agreement to bring back outside linebacker Parys Haralson on a one-year deal.
New Orleans acquired the 6-foot, 225-pound Haralson in a trade shortly before the start of the 2013 regular season. He played in every regular season game, starting eight, and was credited with 35 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and a pass breakup. However, he tore a pectoral muscle, ending his season, during New Orleans' playoff victory at Philadelphia.
The 49ers selected Haralson in the fifth round of the 2006 draft out of Tennessee.
In eight seasons, Haralson has played in 102 games, starting 76. He's been credited with 330 tackles, 25 sacks, five pass breakups, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and 24 special teams tackles.
