Saints scratch Deaderick, Bucs rule out McCown

NEW ORLEANS (AP) The Saints have scratched defensive tackle Brandon Deaderick from Sunday's game against Tampa Bay and activated second-year nose tackle John Jenkins for the first time this season.

The Buccaneers have ruled out quarterback Josh McCown, listed as questionable after missing last week's game at Pittsburgh with a thumb injury. As expected, Mike Glennon will start at quarterback a second straight week for Tampa Bay.

Deaderick was not on the injury report this week and has been the top reserve on the interior defensive line during New Orleans' first four games.

The Saints have also scratched healthy receivers Joe Morgan and Nick Toon.

The Bucs have also deactivated linebacker Mason Foster, who was questionable and will miss his third straight game with a shoulder injury.
