Russell Wilson tops NFL merchandise list

For the second straight year Russell Wilson leads all NFL players in merchandise sales.

The 12th man in Seattle might have had a little something to do with this.

But it is not just the people in Seattle that love him, it is fans around the world. And what's not to love? The guy is a winner with a great attitude.

Wilson is also an exciting player as he can escape pressure, make the big run and can also launch the ball downfield with his strong arm.

With Wilson leading all merchandising sales in the NFL, it will be interesting to see if this could affect his contract situation in some way. Only time will tell, but GM John Schneider likely already knows what kind of QB he has on his team.

The top 5 sales were dominated by quarterbacks. After Wilson, it was followed by Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning, New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers rounding out the top five.
