Running back Lacy limited in practice for Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Green Bay running back Eddie Lacy was limited in practice Wednesday after bruising his hip in the Packers' victory this week over Atlanta.

Coach Mike McCarthy said he would monitor Lacy on the practice field Thursday. McCarthy has also said that he doesn't have high concern about the injury to the 2013 Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Lacy has 843 yards and seven touchdowns on 188 carries. He has also turned into playmaking threat in the passing game this year with 385 yards and four scores on 36 receptions.

On defense, cornerback Davon House missed practice with a right shoulder injury after getting hurt breaking up a pass in the end zone intended for Atlanta receiver Julio Jones in Monday night's 43-37 win.

House has played well this year as one of the backups for starters Tramon Williams and Sam Shields in the deep Packers secondary.

Jones' knee apparently collided with the back of House's right shoulder on the play in the end zone. Up to that point, House had had a little more success in limiting Jones, who finished with a career-best 259 yards on 11 catches.

''It's really all up in the air right now,'' House said. ''We'll see what happens when we get these tests back and go from there.''

House was in the game for Shields, who was active after being cleared to play Monday following a concussion that kept him from practice the previous week. McCarthy has said it was part of a planned rotation in the game with Williams, Shields, House and another reserve cornerback, Casey Hayward.

Shields, who signed a four-year, $39 million contract extension in the offseason, said the coaches were being cautious following his concussion.

''Yeah, yeah. I needed a couple reps. That probably would've helped out. It happens. I was in there, I got back on the field (and) that was the most important part,'' Shields said. ''I'm getting reps this week and I'll be ready for Buffalo.''
