Rousey: I wouldn't fight Mayweather unless we were dating
By Steve DelVecchio
Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are experts in two completely different sports, but that hasn’t stopped people from wondering who would win a fight between the two. On Monday, Rousey said there is only one scenario in which she can envision that question being answered.
Floyd and Ronda would have to be in a relationship first.
“Well, I will never say that I can’t beat anyone, but I don’t think me and him would ever fight, unless we ended up dating,” Rousey told Access Hollywood’s Stephanie Bauer.
While I interpreted that as a lighthearted remark about couples having disagreements, some people believe Rousey was taking a shot at Mayweather over his long history with domestic violence. It could have been both.
People like Joe Rogan have argued that Rousey could easily defeat Mayweather in the Octagon. Mayweather responded by pretending he didn’t know who Rousey is, but there’s no way he hasn’t heard of her. And if he hadn’t back then, he has now.
