Ron Rivera says Charles Tillman is 'sharing his wealth of knowledge'

Charles Tillman was one of the more interesting offseason additions by the Carolina Panthers, largely due to the fact that he should add some immediate locker room leadership. Tillman has had a strong career, but he'll be doing the role of leading a young secondary throughout the 2015 season.

As for Tillman, he's just trying to do his "small part," according to Ashley Mahoney of The Charlotte Post.

“I’m here trying to do my small 1/11th and just do my small part,” Tillman told The Charlotte Post. “It’s a team style. I do what I’m told, but I think have a little bit of freedom to be creative within the defense—if that makes any sense. I’m just trying to do my part—fit in and just contribute so that we can win some games.”

And what about the experience that he brings to the Panthers? Well, that's something that head coach Ron Rivera is a big fan of apparently.

“One of the things that he’s done real nice is he’s mixing in with the players—young guys, young corners especially,” said Panthers coach Ron Rivera. “He’s sharing his wealth of knowledge. I think he’s done a great job for us. He’s had a great impact.”

Tillman's addition was expected to be one that could help out the young guys on this roster, and so far, it seems that it's doing just that.
