Roddy White focused more on being a leader, not on catches
If there's anyone who can help lead the Atlanta Falcons out of their recent funk, it's veteran wide receiver Roddy White.
While White hasn't been involved in the same way that we've seen in past years, he's still focused on helping the Falcons grow as a team and find success. Even with that being said, head coach Dan Quinn didn't deny the fact that the team needed to get White involved down the final run of the 2015 regular season.
According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN though, White is focused on simply being a leader at this point and helping the team play good football.
"I always feel like I'm an important part of this team," White told ESPN. "Being a leader on this team and being in this organization for this is my 11th year, it's just certain parts of the season that we need guys to lean on. This is one of those times where I've got to go out there and just be a leader for this team and this organization and settle everything down.
"We had a couple of rough weeks leading up into the bye. It's time to turn it around and get focused and get all the details in -- start playing good football. We've got to get back to doing that, offensively, defensively and special teams."
It's great to hear that from White, but the Falcons are going to need his leadership both on and off the field moving forward this season.
