Richard Sherman wishes football was an Olympic sport
The Olympic committee is currently discussing the possibility of adding football as one of their sports. It has a long way to go if it ever were to happen, but just the possibility has made Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman very excited.
Sherman is right about one thing, the US would have a very tough team to beat. Every athlete would love a chance to represent their county, but who exactly would the US be facing in the Olympics? Would they let professionals play or limit it to amateurs? Would coaches of these players want the extra injury risk?
There are so many logistics to figure out before they could make football an Olympic sport, but it sure would be exciting for fans seeing the best players in America all on one team together. Just picture Tom Brady throwing a touchdown pass to Calvin Johnson.
