Report: Vernon Davis doesn't have major ankle injury

49ers tight end Vernon Davis may be able to play Sunday despite suffering what appeared to be a serious ankle injury, according to a report.

Davis was seen on the sidelines on crutches in the 49ers’ 28-20 loss to the Bears on Sunday night. He had an MRI on Monday that revealed no structural damage

Davis got his foot got caught under Chicago Bears linebacker Jonathan Bostic at the end of an eight-yard reception in the fourth quarter.

The 49ers (1-1) play the first-place Cardinals (2-0) this week.
