Report: Cam Newton gets his money, now the Panthers to focus on Luke Kuechly?

The Carolina Panthers are working their way through the key players on their roster and making sure the future remains bright. First came tight end Greg Olsen, which was followed up by quarterback Cam Newton. So, who's next? You guessed it, linebacker Luke Kuechly.

While a contract is likely still being worked on for linebacker Thomas Davis, the Panthers have likely turned their attention to re-signing Kuechly, according to Bill Voth of Black And Blue Review.

"It’d stand to reason that LB Thomas Davis would be next in line, but it may not play out that way. According to a league source, the Panthers’ most immediate priority now is getting LB Luke Kuechly locked in." Voth explained.

While the Panthers are obviously hoping to lock up contracts for both Davis and Kuechly, it's probably a safe bet that the team is largely  focused on a long-term deal for Kuechly.
