Redskins not boasting after win over lowly Raiders

Published Sep. 30, 2013 7:07 p.m. ET

Give this much credit to the Washington Redskins: They realize their win over the Oakland Raiders didn't accomplish very much.

Coach Mike Shanahan says his players are ''pretty realistic'' and realize they have to get to another level if they want to repeat as champions of the NFC East.

The Redskins are 1-3 after Sunday's 24-14 victory, but they're only one game behind division leader Dallas.

Washington has a bye week before facing the Cowboys in two weeks - a game that could be for first place.
