Redskins' Alfred Morris is day-to-day, hopes to play Week 12

Published Nov. 23, 2015 6:22 p.m. ET

Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris left the team's Week 11 loss to the Carolina Panthers with a knee injury. Despite his inability to return to action, Morris is considered day-to-day and could play this Sunday in Week 12 against the New York Giants.

Morris originally suffered the injury in Week 10, but he has played through it since. In Morris' absence, Matt Jones failed to stand out in an extended role. Jones finished with zero yards rushing on five carries.
