Receiver, kick returner Griff Whalen signs with Dolphins

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Free agent receiver and kick returner Griff Whalen has signed with the Miami Dolphins.

Whalen spent his first three NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts before they released him in January. He has 45 career receptions for 487 yards and three touchdowns, and has averaged 8.2 yards on punt returns and 25.8 on kickoff returns.

Last year Whalen caught 19 passes for 205 yards and one touchdown.
