Randy Moss talks Tom Brady and Deflategate
As NFL players and fans await the beginning of training camp, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady awaits his decision on whether or not he will be suspended for four games for his alleged role in deflategate.
Deflategate has certainly caused many former and current players and coaches to give their opinions of the severity of Deflategate. In fact, Brady's former teammate Randy Moss gave his thoughts about the entire situation during a press conference in the South View gym, before his Randy Moss Academy football camp.
“I’ve always stood in Tom’s corner,” Moss said. “I called myself a professional, but that man was definitely a letter grade above me.”
Moss went a step further as he talked about how ridiculous it was that people were up in arms about the amount of air in a football.
“Over some air?” Moss said. “If he did it, so what? He hasn’t shown me anything but how he carries himself as a professional man, husband, father and athlete.
“Tom Brady is a pro’s pro. I love the man and everything he’s accomplished.”
It isn't surprising to hear that Moss has Brady's back. After all, the two of them were teammates from 2007 to 2010. Brady helped Moss break the record for most touchdown receptions in one season during the 2007 season when Moss caught 23 touchdowns. At the time, Brady also broke the record for most touchdown passes in one season by tossing 50 of them.
Brady could hear from Roger Goodell about whether he will serve a four game suspension or a lesser penalty soon.
