Rams' Stedman Bailey suspended 4 games by NFL
ST. LOUIS (AP) St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Coach Jeff Fisher said Monday he was ''very, very disappointed in his choices,'' and had ''numerous conversations'' with the player.
''He understands that this is his last go-around,'' Fisher said. ''If he wants to flourish in this league, have a career in this league, he's going to have to change his lifestyle.''
Bailey served a two-game suspension for performance enhancing drugs last season.
Bailey had two catches for 13 yards in Sunday's 21-18 loss at Minnesota. He's in his third year out of West Virginia, and has 12 receptions for 182 yards with one touchdown.
Last week, Rams running back Trey Watts was suspended indefinitely for violating the substance abuse policy.
''The message has been sent to the players,'' Fisher said. ''I'm disappointed it's back- to-back weeks here. We're going to take an aggressive approach to make sure that these things don't happen in the future.''
