BY Ross Jones • January 12, 2016

The City of St. Louis learned the devastating news on Tuesday that the Rams are uprooting to Los Angeles.

Rams players were quick to jump on Twitter and wish the city that they called home for years goodbye.

Defensive end Chris Long played in St. Louis since 2008 when the franchise spent the No. 2 overall pick on him.

Akeem Ayers was signed to the Rams this past year and is assuredly excited to be back playing in his hometown.

James Laurinaitis pulled out his notepad to jot down his thoughts.

After a 7-9 season, Alec Ogletree is ready for a new beginning.

And Robert Quinn is ready to create some new memories.

Even former Rams' greats Kurt Warner and Isaac Bruce paid sent the city warm wishes.
