Rams decide to ignore T.O.

Cross off the St. Louis Rams for those interested in Terrell Owens.

According to league sources, the Rams have decided to take a pass in their pursuit of the free agent wide receiver, FOXSports.com has learned.

Reports over the weekend suggested that the team had intensified its efforts for Owens and that the team could make an offer as early as Monday. However, that was premature as team brass met Monday morning on the matter and decided to go in a different direction.

An NFL source told FOXSports.com's Alex Marvez that the Bengals hope to have a resolution of whether Owens will sign by Wednesday when Cincinnati's training camp opens.
