Patriots sign ex-Brown receiver Buddy Farnham

The New England Patriots have signed former Brown wide receiver Buddy Farnham as a rookie free agent.

The 185-pound Farnham was selected co-Ivy League Player of the Year after finishing the season with 74 catches for 1,003 yards.

Farnham's 229 career receptions rank sixth in Ivy League history, and his 2,895 yards are seventh.

The team announced the deal Monday.
