Packers TE Martellus Bennett's new rap EP has the perfect title
Martellus Bennett packed his bags and left the Super Bowl-winning Patriots to join the Green Bay Packers. While he may be changing cities and teams, he hasn’t changed his personality one bit.
Bennett remains one of the most interesting players in the NFL, and his latest venture is just another example of that. On Wednesday night, the Packers tight end released a rap EP appropriately titled “I am not a rapper but some of my friends are…” and it’s not half-bad.
Songs include “Dinosaurs & Dinomite” and “ShaqFu” which can be heard below on SoundCloud. Warning: contains NSFW lyrics.
Bennett explained the inspiration behind the EP, and it’s well, about what you’d expect.
"It was just me and some of my friends hanging out in the studio making music for fun and this is what came out of it. Pretty cool to have so many talented friends and be able to create with them at a high level. I am on a mission to express my creativity in as many ways as possible in 2017, this is a part of my creative journey. Enjoy."
