GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Second-round draft pick Jason Spriggs has signed his rookie contract with the Green Bay Packers.

General manager Ted Thompson announced the signing of the offensive tackle from Indiana on Monday as part of a series of moves.

Most notably, defensive tackle Josh Boyd was one of five players released by Green Bay. Boyd, who was taken in the fifth round by the Packers in the 2013 draft, played in 26 games with four starts over three seasons in Green Bay.

The team on Monday also signed Casey Pierce, a 6-foot-3 tight end. He was with Detroit last year as an undrafted free agent and spent the season on the Lions' practice squad.
