Packers S Bigby active, but not starting

Published Nov. 7, 2010 7:35 p.m. ET

Green Bay Packers safety Atari Bigby was active for Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys after missing the first eight weeks following left ankle surgery in the offseason.

Bigby was not in the starting lineup. He has played in 42 games with 33 starts in his first five years in Green Bay.

The Packers have 10 players on injured reserve and are missing five starters for the season.

Starting wide receiver Donald Driver (quadriceps) and right tackle Mark Tauscher (shoulder) were also inactive. Rookie offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga and receiver Jordy Nelson were in the lineup instead.

Dallas is without quarterback Tony Romo (collarbone) for the second straight game. Romo is expected to miss at least the next month.
