Packers' McCarthy: No long-term concern with WR Jordy Nelson

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy says there is no long-term concern with Jordy Nelson after the receiver was placed on the physically unable to perform list to start training camp.

Nelson is coming back from a torn ACL in his right knee. The injury occurred in August 2015 and knocked him out for all of last season.

McCarthy said before Tuesday's opening practice that he spoke to the team doctor, and that Packers are just being cautious. McCarthy says that they're being similarly cautious with five other key players on the PUP list, and that they all should return during camp.

Nelson was the team's top pass-catcher and deep threat before he got hurt.
