No Super Bowl party plans for Sheen

Published Feb. 6, 2011 12:00 a.m. ET

Actor Charlie Sheen is taking a low-key approach to his Super Bowl party Sunday as he undergoes drug rehab at his Los Angeles home, TMZ reported.

Sources close to Sheen told the entertainment website that Sheen's Super Bowl get-together would not involve girls, gambling or alcohol. Instead, the sources said, the "Two and a Half Men" star will simply be watching the Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers with "his team."

Sheen was carried out of his LA mansion on a stretcher and transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital on Jan. 27 after allegedly spending the night partying with porn stars and receiving what a witness said was "a briefcase full of cocaine."

He opted to go through rehab at home with an addiction specialist after being released from the hospital.

Sheen has reportedly text-messaged several of his porn star party pals since entering treatment to tell them his hard-partying days are over. "Please lose the number, we are closed ... please drive through ... thank you," one read, while another message said, "Right now we are on lockdown."
