First of all, in most weeks of the season, Monday night will feature just one game. However, the Week 1 schedule will feature a doubleheader.

First up is a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins. That game will be followed by the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers battling on the gridiron.

The Steelers vs. Redskins game will take place at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., starting at 7:10 p.m. ET. Fans of both teams are hoping to see their squads improve on last season’s trips to the playoffs.

The aforementioned matchup is going to be followed by the Rams and 49ers game. The contest  starts at 10:20 p.m. ET from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. It marks the start of a big season for the Rams who moved back to Los Angeles from St. Louis.

Additionally, both Monday night NFL games will be available to watch on ESPN for cable and satellite TV viewers. In order to watch live streaming coverage of the games, viewers can use WatchESPN broadband sports network. The WatchESPN service is available for customers of participating cable and/or satellite companies. The service is available for computers, mobile devices or streaming media devices.

Finally, Week 1 is here. The opening week of NFL action should offer plenty of great highlights, surprises, and results. Fans won’t want to miss this Monday night doubleheader which will feature four teams looking to get their seasons off to a winning start.
