Newly acquired defensive end Gaines Adams is inactive for the Chicago Bears against the Atlanta Falcons, who are without starting fullback Ovie Mughelli. The Bears acquired Adams, the fourth pick in the 2007 draft, from Tampa Bay on Friday night for a second-round draft pick in 2010. Adams had 14 tackles and one sack this season. Mughelli had been listed as questionable with a calf injury. Jason Snelling started at fullback in Sunday night's game. The Bears also were without starting middle linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer, who was held out for the second straight game with a rib injury. Nick Roach moved up as the starter. Backup running back Adrian Peterson was inactive with a knee injury.
