Moore, Samuel held out for 3rd straight day

Published Dec. 7, 2012 11:17 p.m. ET

Atlanta Falcons strong safety William Moore and cornerback Asante Samuel missed practice Friday for the third straight day and are questionable for Sunday's game at Carolina.

Moore has been sidelined since injuring a hamstring in the Falcons' home win over New Orleans on Nov. 29. He intercepted quarterback Drew Brees twice and finished with 11 tackles.

Samuel played just three snaps before aggravating a right shoulder injury against the Saints.

In his first season with Atlanta, Samuel, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, has a team-high 13 passes defended.

Running back Michael Turner (elbow) and defensive tackle Peria Jerry (thigh) are also questionable. Both were limited in practice on Friday.

The Falcons (11-1) have won five straight against Carolina (3-9).
