Minnesota Vikings: Brett Favre back at practice

Published Oct. 15, 2010 10:12 a.m. ET

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, who did not practice Wednesday while nursing elbow tendinitis, threw passes today and was active in the media's 15-minute window of availability.

Favre, 41, clapped often and shadowed wide receivers as a defensive back on a couple of plays.

Back quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has received most of the reps in practice this week. The Vikings will release their injury report later today.

Center John Sullivan returned to practice and wore a large black sock over his injured left calf, which kept him out of Monday's 29-20 loss over the Jets. Safety Jamarca Sanford (back) also returned after missing Wednesday's action.

Offensive guard Chris DeGeare (ankle) missed his second consecutive day.
