McCoy shows up for Browns' workouts
Browns quarterback Colt McCoy participated in the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program just days after Cleveland drafted his likely successor.
McCoy reported to the team's training complex in Berea on Monday amid speculation he may be traded. The Browns drafted Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden in the first round on Thursday and the team is expected to start the 28-year-old as a rookie. McCoy could be kept as his backup and Browns President Mike Holmgren said over the weekend he could imagine McCoy as the team's No. 2 QB.
McCoy has had two inconsistent seasons as Cleveland's starter. However, the Browns tied for the league lead in dropped passes last season, undermining some of McCoy's progress.
Browns general manager Tom Heckert said the team has not discussed trading McCoy with any teams.
