Locked on Chiefs - Jets week Behind Enemy Lines
Chiefs are looking at a shifting injury situation
There were a few notable entries on the Chiefs injury list to start the week. Jamaal Charles is continuing to see a slow buildup in practice. At this point, it looks like he’ll likely be out another week. Tamba Hali, on the other hand, continues to get rest during the practice week. He sat out practice Wednesday, but should be ready to go when the Jets hit Arrowhead on Sunday.
The news came along the offensive line. Laurant Duvernay-Tardif was able to return this week to limited practice. That is a signal that he may be available to play agains New York. LDT was missed last week in Houston. His return would be a welcome sign as the faces front seven lead by Muhammad Wilkerson. Parker Ehinger was not able to resume practice yet. He remains int he NFL’s concussion protocol.
Peters Roller Coaster
Marcus Peters has had an emotional up and down start to the 2016 season. The risk-taking playmaker is living up to his reputation, however. After two weeks, Peters is tied for the NFL lead in two key statistics. He is in a multi-player split in both Interceptions (2) and passes defensed (5). Surprisingly, one of the players Peters is currently tied with is former Chief Marcus Cooper.
