ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) The Detroit Lions have signed quarterback Ricky Stanzi to their practice squad.

The move comes after No. 3 quarterback Kellen Moore was cut over the weekend. The Lions also announced Tuesday that they've signed wide receiver Saalim Hakim to the practice squad.

The 28-year-old Stanzi played at Iowa and was drafted in the fifth round by Kansas City in 2011, but he has never appeared in an NFL game.

Hakim played for the New York Jets the past two seasons. He averaged 21.5 yards on 13 kickoff returns in 2014.
