Lions cut ticket prices for second straight season

The Detroit Lions are reducing some season-ticket prices for the
second straight year.
Ticket packages for the 2010 season go on sale Wednesday, and
the Lions said they will lower season prices for about 19,000 seats
at Ford Field after ranking 31st out of 32 teams in NFL attendance
for 2009.
The reductions range from about $80 per season ticket for
about 13,000 seats in the 100- and 200-level sections to as much as
$140 for an estimated 2,900 seats in the 300-level upper
seating sections. About 3,000 club seats also will have lower
prices,
The Detroit News reported.
Prices for "all-you-can-eat" seats will remain unchanged.
The team made similar changes for about 8,000 seats at Ford
Field last fall, but economic conditions and a 2-14 record on the
heels of an 0-16 season contributed to an average attendance of
49,395 fans.
