Jim Tomsula refutes report about Jarryd Hayne making 53-man roster

If Jarryd Hayne's preseason performance is any indication, it would appear he'll likely make the 53-man roster. 

He's carried the ball 15 times for 117 yards (7.8 yards per carry) and averaged 20.0 yards on six punt returns. 

One report indicated Hayne had already survived final cuts, even with rosters needing to be trimmed another 22 players. 

However, head coach Jim Tomsula strongly refuted that report in addressing the media.

“I don’t know what the rules in the media are in Australia, OK?” Tomsula said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “But you might want to fact-check. The 53 is not set.”
