FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) The New York Jets have signed linebacker Jordan Jenkins, their third-round draft pick, to a four-year contract.
The deal, announced by the team Friday, is worth $3.06 million with a signing bonus of $723,920.
The 6-foot-3, 259-pound Jenkins had 19 career sacks at Georgia, including five last season as a senior despite playing with a torn groin and abdominal wall that sapped some of his burst off the line.
After Jenkins was drafted, Jets coach Todd Bowles said he envisioned him being both an edge setter and a pass rusher.
First-rounder Darron Lee, a linebacker from Ohio State, is the only one of the Jets' seven draft picks who remains unsigned.
