The New York Jets have hired former Arizona Cardinals general manager Rod Graves as the team's senior director of football administration.

The team announced several moves on Monday for new GM John Idzik's front office, including promoting Matt Bazirgan from personnel scout to assistant director of pro personnel.

Graves was with the Cardinals for 16 years and served as GM since 2007 before being fired in January a day after the season ended. Idzik and Graves have previously worked together, when Idzik was Arizona's director of football operations from 2004-07.

Bazirgan is in his 10th season working with the Jets.
